We show the main diagram of the water circuit of an hidroshield machine.
The feed pump is mounted on the surface of the starting shaft. This pumps feeds the water or bentonite suspension
to the excavation chamber.
Two slurry pumps sucts the material plus the bentonite suspension from the excavation chamber to the separation plant.
The first pump is located just in the tunneling machine and the second pump in the shaft to reduce the distance and
avoid decreasing of the speed of the transported material.
In long drives where the pumps has not enough power extra slurry pumps can be mounted between both pumps
